Clive Forward was asked by a local family member if it was possible to draw a picture of the local church where their daughter was due to get married. From then he learnt to use pen and ink techniques. It is something he still does today, as historical buildings, including churches, work well in black and white. To date he has drawn over 170 churches in Gillingham and across the country. Some have been reproduced in a book entitled 'A selection of Parish Churches' by Jack-Skelton Wallace, in 2004.
Clive also works in watercolour, which he uses in conjunction with pen and ink work, on various subjects, including wildlife and pet portraits, and also pictures of vintage and classic vehicles. Take a look at the beautiful artwork created below by Clive Forward. If you'd like Clive to create a bespoke piece just for you, please get in touch for a discussion.
